Die Langtang-Region ist eine der nähesten Trekking-Destinationen von Kathmandu aus und ermöglicht einen unkomplizierten Zugang zu einer wunderbaren Umgebung. Hier finden sich unter anderem pitoreske Dörfer, die buddhistisch geprägte Tamang-Kultur, die heiligen See von Gosainkund und das spektakuläre Heelambu-Tal.
Das Gebiet bietet die Ruhe der Natur und fantastische Aussichten. Über weite Teile des Gebiets erstreckt sich hier der erste und mittlerweile noch zweitgrösste Nationalpark von Nepal. Alle Trekking-Touren in der Langtang-Region sind deshalb eine ausgezeichnete Wahl für Naturliebhaber, aber auch für Abenteurer. Sie können hier die beeindruckenden Gipfel des Langtang Himal (6581m), des Langtang Lirung (7234m) und von vielen weiteren der umliegenden Bergriesen, teils bis zum Manaslu (8163) und in den tibetischen Himalaya hinein bestaunen. Die wunderschöne Rhododendron-Blüte im Frühling, die zuvorkommende Gastfreundschaft in den Herbergen und die eindrücklichen Sonnenaufgänge und -untergänge von Lauribinayak machen das Trekking in der Langtang-Region zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis.
Die beliebtesten Trekking-Routen in der Langtang-Region sind der Langtang-Trek (7 Tage), der Tamang-Heritage-Trail (6 Tage) und der Gosaikundasee-Trek (5 Tage). Auf allen Touren kann sowohl im Freien (Camping) als auch in Gasthäusern übernachtet werden.
Die Auswahl der Touren reicht von moderater bis anspruchsvoller Schwierigkeit mit einer Dauer von3 Tagen bis 3 Wochen. High Himalayan Trekking and Expedition bietet alle Touren über das ganze Jahr hinweg an.
